For those of you who pay attention to Folding at Home on your computer .... you may want to look at this game. It seems there are times when all the computers in the world are no substitute for a human brain. Using the same software the Folding at Home program uses they have devised a game that people can play to fold proteins. Peoples intuition is the key, eliminating many steps computers go through because computers have to go through all possibilities even though they make no sense at all. The game designers think they will find certain people with innate abilities to fold proteins and others can learn to do this with the practice from the game. You just need to learn the basic rules then begin competing against other players to see where you rank. The best will be given real life tasks that will be recreated in the lab and tested. In other words you could actually find real cures and treatments to real diseases. You would also be credited with such findings. Don't ask about $$$... I have no idea. This story has a more detailed explanation and a link to download the game. [
